Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy explains how the Aqua app for iPhone and Apple Watch (“Aqua”, “we”) handles your information. If you have questions, write to us at macroevosolutions@gmail.com.

2. Information the app handles

To work, Aqua stores the following on your device:

• The answers you give when you start: weight, activity level and climate, used only to calculate your goal.
• Your daily goal, your unit of measurement and your preferences.
• Your water logs: amount, time and source (Aqua, Apple Watch, widget or Health).
• Your progress: streak, level, experience and achievements.
• Your waking hours and your reminder settings.

We do not ask for your name, email, location or contacts, and we do not create accounts.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you give us permission, Aqua uses Apple’s Health app as follows:

• Write: saves the water you log in Aqua to Health.
• Read: reads water logged by other apps to add it to your total without counting it twice.

We only access the “Water” data type. Health information is used solely to show your intake inside the app. It is not used for advertising or marketing, is not shared with third parties and is not sold. Information that comes from Health is kept in local storage on your device that never syncs with iCloud. You can withdraw the permission at any time from the Health app.

4. iCloud (optional)

If you turn on iCloud in Settings, Aqua syncs your preferences, your goal, the logs made in Aqua and your progress in the private database of your Apple Account. That information is protected by Apple and we cannot see it. Data imported from Health is not included. You can turn it off whenever you like.

5. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. To keep them up to date when you log water on another device, Aqua may receive silent iCloud notices that do not contain your data. You can turn notifications off in Settings.

6. Analytics, tracking and third parties

Aqua does not use third-party analytics tools, does not track you across apps or websites and does not sell data. If Apple asks your permission to share diagnostics with developers, those reports are managed by Apple according to your settings. If Aqua includes advertising or other third-party services in the future, we will update this policy before they take effect and will ask for your permission where the law or Apple requires it.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Deleting the app removes the local data. If you used iCloud, you can delete it in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › Aqua. Entries saved in Health are managed from the Health app.

8. Your rights

Because we do not keep your data on servers of our own, you control it directly from your device, iCloud and Health. If you have a request about your personal data under the law of your country, write to us and we will help.

9. Children

Aqua is suitable for all audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date. If the change is significant, we will let you know inside the app.
