Using the app
How does Aqua work out my goal?
It starts from your weight and adds an extra amount based on your activity level and the climate where you live. The goal stays between 1,000 and 6,000 mL. You can adjust it in Settings › Daily goal.
How do I change the unit of measurement?
Go to Settings › Units and choose milliliters, ounces, glasses, cups or bottles. Your history does not change.
I made a mistake when logging. How do I fix it?
Tap Undo on the Today screen to remove your last entry. Water imported from Health cannot be undone from Aqua; fix it in the Health app.
Why is Gotita asleep?
Outside your waking hours, Gotita sleeps. Tap it or log some water and it will wake up for a while.
How does the streak work?
Every day you reach your goal adds a day to your streak. If you miss a day, the streak starts over.
Reminders
I am not getting reminders
Check that they are turned on in Settings › Reminders inside Aqua and in Settings › Notifications › Aqua on your iPhone. If a Focus is active, add Aqua to the allowed apps.
Why does a reminder sometimes not go off?
It is on purpose: if you are on track or have already reached your goal, Aqua does not interrupt you. You can turn that option off in Settings › Reminders.
Health, iCloud and Apple Watch
Aqua does not appear in Health
Open the Health app › your profile › Apps › Aqua and turn on the Water permissions. You can also do it from Settings › Health in Aqua.
My data is not syncing between devices
Turn on iCloud in Settings › iCloud inside Aqua on each device and confirm you use the same Apple Account. Syncing can take a few minutes.
How do I install Aqua on my Apple Watch?
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, find Aqua under Available Apps and tap Install.
Your data
How do I delete all my data?
Aqua does not use accounts, so there is nothing to delete on our servers. Delete the app to remove the data on your device. If you used iCloud, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › Aqua. Entries in Health are deleted from the Health app.
